![]() ![]() Of course we have to do our work as best as we can and prepare everything beforehand, but if it doesn’t go the way we want, we don’t let it discourage us to learn and try again. Instead, we will sit together, address the problem, discuss the best way to solve it, and find what could we learn from it. Yet, does it mean after that we blame each other for the error? Stick the responsibility to another person? Well, as a matter of fact, the whole time I’ve been working here I never find any case like that. As you can see from the company’s name which contains “Innovation”, to keep innovating and improving is incorporated in our ways of working, and along the way, certainly we make mistakes. Most importantly, it’s also a part of working culture here. The speaker is ranging from our own board of director, a well-known innovation coach, to former CEO of second largest telecommunication company in Indonesia. There’s several programs to support the mission, such as cross learning between directorate where we can explore other function’s business process and “Meet the Expert” talkshow where an expert is invited as a speaker to deliver insight and give inspiration. ![]() As one of the largest cosmetic manufacturer in Indonesia, it is Paragon’s mission to make sure that Paragonian grow not only as an employee, but also as a person. Talking about learning, PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, the place where I work at provides many opportunity to learn and develop skills for their thousands of employees. He is a genius, no doubt, yet he still believe he shouldn’t stop learning despite the age or the knowledge he already had at that time. Rather it’s an Italian phrase meaning “Still, I am learning.” It’s believably quoted by Michelangelo, the Italian Renaissance sculptor, painter, architect, and poet at the age of 87. Have you ever heard about the phrase “ Ancora Imparo”? No, it’s not a magic spell used in Hogwarts (at least that’s what I thought when I first heard the phrase). ![]()
